While a large portion of the country is stuck in snowstorms and fighting off cold weather California is battling it’s own weather issues. The extremely dry weather at the beginning of this year has led to one of California’s worst droughts in recent times. With the dry weather and scarcity of rain, fires have been abundant in the Golden State.
Last year in the first 2 months we had 2 fires hit the state, a nice low number. Compare the number with 2014 fires in the first 2 months, 487, and you see how big of a problem this drought is.
One of the huge problems with these fires is the potential damage that can be done to homes. Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of homes could be effected by these disastrous conditions.
